The Burger Joint - The Best Burger in New York City

In light of Time Out New York's Dec. 9-15 Issue on the city's best 100 Burgers, I would like to clarify to my readers who is the best. The Burger Joint is a small place tucked into the Le Parker Meridian Hotel (119 W. 56th St. btwn. Sixth and Sevent Ave.). The review in the mageazine is: " A sign at this place, tucked inside Le Parker Meridian Hotel, says IF YOU DON'T SEE IT, WE DON'T HAVE IT. What you will see are juicy burgers ($5), Mc Donald's-style fries, frosty milk shakes (available after 3PM on weekdays), an Sam Adams in a paper cup." The burgers are some of the highest quality beef in the city. They are cooked to order on a grill and served quickly with "the works." The fries, which are not McDonald's like, come in a generous portion, and remain crisp and tasty till Chinatown. The milkshakes, when available, are old-fashioned and thick. I would vote this place as the best.
